CurlingWorks
About Us
CurlingWorks is a one‑person studio with roots that stretch back decades. My goal has always been simple: to build curling software and technology that respect the sport, with honest physics, the right feel, and the level of polish that curling deserves.
I started curling in the late 1980s and writing curling software in the early 2000s. Granite and Granite 2 were desktop games shipped on CDs across Canada and around the world. I still hear from people who fondly remember playing them.
True Curling (Granite 3) is the long‑awaited sequel — a full modern rebuild with deeper physics, smarter AI, and an interface designed for mobile from the ground up. It’s the most accurate and expressive version of Granite yet. A desktop version is also planned for those who prefer a mouse and keyboard.
But CurlingWorks isn’t just about games. I’m also building training tools, coaching aids, and learn‑to‑curl content: small pieces of technology meant to help people understand the sport the way curlers do. These will begin rolling out during the 2026/27 curling season.
This is a long‑term craft project. I’m building it carefully to maintain quality and get the feel right. I’ve been thinking about it for decades, and I’m glad to finally be making it happen.
